Waterproof Shower Kit for Kerdi Board, Model KBKIT

The Schluter-KERDI-BOARD-KIT provides all the necessary components to waterproof and prepare the walls of your bathtub and acrylic shower base for tiling, using waterproof building panels. This kit includes 8 KERDI-BOARD waterproof building panels, which can cover up to 101 ft² (9.4 m²) of wall area. In installations with standard 8 ft. ceilings, the panels included will cover 12 linear feet (3.6 m). The waterproofing must be carried out to at least the height of the showerhead. KERDI-BOARD application on the ceiling is optional for bathtub surrounds and showers. Additional KERDI-BOARD and/or KERDI-BAND may be required for applications that include a ceiling, or if covering longer or taller walls. Grab bars or other heavy objects must be anchored in the structure or solid blocking behind KERDI-BOARD. The KERDI-BOARD-KIT includes: 1 roll of KERDI-BAND waterproofing strip 5" x 98' 5", 2 KERDI-SEAL-PS pipe seals ½" and ¾", 1 KERDI-SEAL-MV mixing valve seal 4-1/2", 140 KERDI-BOARD-ZT/-ZS screws and washers, and 2 tubes of KERDI-FIX sealing and bonding compound in bright white. This kit allows you to create a fully waterproof and vapor-tight enclosure for tiled bathtub and acrylic shower base surrounds, while also eliminating the need for cement board or gypsum wall backer. The KERDI-BOARD panels are applied directly to the stud framing, making the installation quick and easy.
