Schluter-KERDI-SHOWER-LT/-LTS are prefabricated shower trays designed to provide seamless, watertight performance for every home. Crafted from expanded polystyrene, these sloped trays feature integrated KERDI waterproofing, specifically engineered to accommodate the KERDI-LINE linear drain.

Available in a variety of sizes, including 39" x 39", 55" x 55", 48" x 48", 36" x 72", 38" x 76", and 36" x 55", the KERDI-SHOWER-LT/-LTS trays offer flexible design options to suit both replacement and new construction needs. With center (-LT) and perimeter (-LTS) drain placements across ten configurations, these trays feature reduced perimeter heights to facilitate the installation of curbless showers, enhancing bathroom accessibility and style.

Installing the Schluter Kerdi Shower Tray

1. Begin by ensuring the floor is properly leveled prior to tray installation. If necessary, the tray can be cut to size before application. The shower base can also be extended beyond the tray using dry-pack mortar, which is then covered with the KERDI membrane.

2. Apply Schluter SET, Schluter ALL-SET, Schluter FAST-SET, or unmodified thin-set mortar to the substrate using a 1/4" x 3/8" square- or U-notched trowel. Slide the KERDI-SHOWER-LT/-LTS tray under the edge of the channel body, flush with the surface of the channel support, ensuring the tray is solidly embedded in the mortar. Check the underside to confirm full coverage.

When the KERDI-LINE is placed at an intermediate location, it is recommended to cut the KERDI-SHOWER-LT tray equally from the ends to maintain a consistent height for the first course of tile. If the KERDI-LINE is positioned adjacent to a wall, the KERDI-SHOWER-LTS tray should be cut from the thicker end to achieve a flush transition at the drain.

For the shower drain, the maximum recommended hole size in the subfloor is 5" in diameter. A template is included in the drain kit box to guide the application.
